How is the Asian Ombudsman Association managed?
The AOA is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors Mr. Javed Sadiq Malik, the Wafaqi Mohtasib of Pakistan, is the President of the AOA and chairs the Board, while Madam Merceditas N. Gutierrez the Ombudsman of the Philippines, is the Vice-President, Ms. Alice Yuen-Ying Tai, the Ombudsman of Hong Kong the Secretary and Mr. Song Chul-ho, the Ombudsman of Korea the Treasurer. An AOA Secretariat manages the day to day operations. |

What activities does the Asian Ombudsman Association engage in?
The AOA promotes sharing and learning amongst members and with other stakeholders. Conferences are organized every two years where Ombudsman from Asia gather to discuss issues relevant to the practice of Ombudsmanship |
